It is not always easy for us to know our own strengths and to talk about them. Many of us are reluctant to praise themselves. Knowing and training your own character strengths strengthens self-efficacy, promotes personal and professional development, improves resilience and relationships, increases well-being and helps you find a sense of purpose (in life). It makes you more successful, satisfied and balanced overall

MINDFULNESS

Mindfulness research has long proven that meditation increases life satisfaction. Meditation promotes various skills, such as listening carefully, remaining calm under stress or developing innovative solutions to problems. 

These are all skills that are becoming increasingly important in an ever more complex and hectic business world. To train mindfulness, you don't have to walk barefoot across a meadow, you don't need singing bowls, incense sticks or even yoga mats. You can learn mindfulness in a thoroughly Western style.

INSTRUCTIONS  

You will receive practical instructions and exercises for meditations with different focuses (focus on breathing, your own body awareness, walking, sitting, listening, planning). 

As well as exercises and handouts for identifying your own strengths, promoting awareness of strengths and using strengths, e.g. the VIA character strengths test, the strengths interview or the 360-degree character strengths exercise.

ADDED VALUE THROUGH MINDFULNESS-BASED STRENGTHENING PRACTICE PROGRAM (MBSP)

8 weeks with 2 hours of online training each, plus a 5-hour retreat

The MBSP program offers a comprehensive combination of practice-oriented exercises, tips and scientific input to sustainably integrate mindfulness in combination with the use of character strengths into your everyday (working) life.

It supports you in becoming more mindful in your dealings with employees, colleagues and superiors, which increases your leadership skills and effectiveness in a professional context.

Burn-out prevention: You will learn how to cope better with stress at work, practise mindfulness with yourself and thus prevent exhaustion. They develop a sustainable mindfulness practice that improves their well-being, health and satisfaction in the long term.

The programme teaches you how to consciously recognize your own character strengths, use them in a targeted manner and also appreciate them in others. You will learn how to use these strengths to enhance your mental presence, maintain focus in stressful or difficult situations and overcome challenges more confidently.

MBSP also trains self-awareness and promotes the development of resilience. You gain greater clarity about yourself, clarity about your emotions, body sensations and thoughts. As well as clarity about and for your employees. This ability, combined with a friendly and non-judgmental attitude towards yourself and others, forms the basis for positive relationships, tolerance and creative solutions.

A key aspect for you as a leader is cultivating a presence that creates openness to change and perspectives. The exercises and routines aim not only to teach stress-reducing techniques, but also to change fundamental mental attitudes and behaviors.
This results in authentic, strength-based and attentive leadership behavior that integrates effortlessly into everyday life.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW  

Examining personal strengths and mindful awareness in the here and now also means taking a closer look at your own way of working and living and perhaps shaping it in such a way that you go through life less “externally controlled” and act much more the way you want to.

The Mindfulness-Based Strengths Practice (MBSP) program is an 8-week online course with two trainers and the following content: 

MODUL 1

Focus instead of autopilot

Everything starts with an awake consciousness

MODUL 2

Character strengths

Recognizing and appreciating your own and others' strengths and using them in a targeted way to strengthen trust and appreciation in relationships.

MODUL 3

Seeing obstacles and difficulties as opportunities

Develop non-judgmental self-reflection in order to view challenges confidently from the perspective of strengths.

MODUL 4

Work and live more attentively and focused

Whether you're in a meeting, doing sports or eating: become more aware of when, why and how your mind wants to wander off and return to old thought patterns and how you can bring yourself back into the present moment in a benevolent way.

MODUL 5

Strengthen your relationship with yourself and with others

The way you perceive yourself is an important element of your self-development. This has a direct impact on how you interact with others.

HALF-DAY RETREAT

Mindfulness and character strengths are not only important in meditation practice, but permeate all aspects of our everyday lives. They show up in our conversations, eating, walking, sitting or reflecting - even in the smallest details, such as opening the fridge door, pushing a door handle or a conscious smile. This day invites us to practise mindfulness in everyday activities and thus bring more depth into our lives. The focus here is on the two pillars: strong mindfulness and mindful use of strengths.

The golden center

We regularly use our character strengths too much or too little. Mindfulness helps us to find the optimal use of our strengths in every situation - to take advantage of opportunities differently and to overcome challenges better.

MODUL 7

Authenticity and meaningfulness

It needs character strengths to represent your true “self”. Authentic people stand by themselves, their values and convictions and act with sincerity. 

MODUL 8

Practise and keep at it

You will learn lots of tips, tricks and techniques on the course. However, the most important thing is that you actually use them and integrate them into your everyday (working) life as routines.

The MBSP program supports you in developing stability, serenity and appreciation in professional relationships and in switching from survival mode to a conscious, fulfilled life.

PARTICIPATION IN MBSP ONLINE TRAINING

The MBSP training is structured in a way that it is based on interaction and intensive exchange. It would therefore make sense for you to attend all sessions live. If you know in advance that you will not be available on one of the dates, we recommend that you register for another training date cycle. However, we also understand that unforeseen situations always arise and offer you the option of missing 1-2 sessions. The online meetings, with the exception of the breakouts, are recorded and can be viewed afterwards.
